Mooment...
Die Nadel wird entstaubt…
Rock'n'roll, electronica, and smooth 70s sounds.
The first broadcast went out at 08:12 on 27 July 2012, the minute the whole country had been asked to ring a bell for the opening of the Olympics, and the station came on air with the sound of them ringing. It has been an East London proposition ever since, running out of a room on Hackney Road with a remit that stretches from new records to whatever happens to be on at the Arcola and the Park Theatre, and with BBC Proms, Tate and Vice all turning up on the schedule at one point or another.
Most of the week is presenter-led and unlabelled by genre, but the named hours give the shape: Kevin Mckay brings Glasgow Underground to Monday teatime, Shanaz Jones runs Epoch Sessions with guests such as Greg Wilson and Liam Howe, and Disco Freaks takes the first Wednesday of the month. Elsewhere there is K-pop, a vinyl hour and two new-music shows.
