Progressive psytrance, euphoric and always driving.
Progressive was one of the two channels Hirschmilch opened with on 31 December 2008, and it found an audience immediately, which is part of why the station kept going at all. Michael Reese has run the whole thing free and non-commercial from Hamburg ever since. In 2014 Mitschi started a monthly show on this channel called Progressive Pleasures, built around exclusive sets from established artists rather than around a playlist. The last of them went out in September 2019, Mikadho's set from Atisha.
This is the melodic, rolling end of psytrance, the 138 range where the bassline does the work and the lead arrives in the last third. The German and Israeli producers who shaped the form are in heavy rotation, and so are the newer ones who learned it from them. It is the channel that most rewards being left on, because the tracks are built to hand off to each other rather than to stand alone.
Sunrise music, any hour.
