Progressive trance and house locked in a groove.
Hirschmilch has broadcast free and non-commercial from Hamburg since the last day of 2008, when Michael Reese started it with two channels and grew it by adding one whenever the existing ones stopped covering something. Hypnotic is one of the later additions and the station has never dated it publicly, which fits a channel defined by a feeling rather than an anniversary. Listener voting has fed the rotation since 2010, so what survives here is what people kept voting back on.
It sits on the seam between progressive trance and progressive house, taking the hypnotic side of both and leaving the anthems to other stations. Tracks work by repetition and slow filter movement rather than by breakdown and drop, and the psy-leaning producers sit comfortably next to the club ones. The blurb promises uplifting melodies and it delivers them, just without ever raising its voice to do it.
Forward motion, no destination.
