Decks running seven days, no automation in sight.
Dean Sherry had held residencies across Dublin's clubs since the mid-nineties — Shaft, POD, System, the Kitchen, Mono — before starting PHEVER in 2014 to give the DJs he knew somewhere to play to more than a room. It runs as a non-profit collective rather than a station with a schedule to fill, and it has grown outward from the broadcast into club nights, festivals, a booking agency and label releases, all under the one name and all aimed at getting new artists heard.
Better than a hundred DJs a week fill a grid of named resident shows. House carries most of it — progressive, acid, deep and vocal — with techno close behind and jungle turning up far more than the club listings would suggest. Elite Trance and Trance 8 hold down the trance, BrackBeats and BreakTrue keep breaks on air, and NeuroTransmissions handles the drum and bass.
The afterparty never closes.
