Aspeeetta...
Spolveriamo la puntina…
Copenhagen dancefloor radio, with a toastie on the side.
Two Italians, Francesco and Simone, opened it in January 2024 at Baggen in Vesterbro on the premise that a station should feel like a gathering rather than a transmission. They moved it to Jolene in Kødbyen and put the booth on the floor itself — no glass, no separation between whoever is playing and whoever wandered in for their lunch. Francesco signs himself Chief Radio Officer and Simone Chief Panini Officer, and the community around them has grown to thirty-odd nationalities.
Saturdays open on ambient sets and harden as the night goes on. The archive runs past a thousand shows, mostly house and techno, every one of them free to play: merle on ambient, Groove Call on acid and deep house, KaniBeatz on amapiano, Talking Drums taking dancehall into grime. Takeovers bring in crews from other cities, and the booth goes outdoors for the summer.
Warm bread, warmer room.
