Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Deep house, tech house and techno out of Saigon.
Three things share one name in Ho Chi Minh City: a station, a DJ agency and a promoter, running together since 2018 and pointedly unrelated to the similarly named outfits elsewhere. The agency end explains the shape of the radio — it represents DJs around the region and offers international ones a way into the Asian market, so the grid fills with selectors who already have a following somewhere else. The earliest of them, Jstar's Control Tower, turns up between the scheduled shows.
Every slot is two hours and most have been running for years: PatriZe's After Hours and DJ Joshua's Floating Beats and Velvety Elements are all several hundred episodes deep, alongside Bicycle Corporation's Electronic Roots, Graham Gold's Esta La Musica, and DJ King Flow's Mixtape Addict, which interviews the rappers it plays. Progressive house, breaks and trance fill the edges.
Nobody here is on a playlist.
