Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Italian indie, cult clubs, and no supermarket pop.
The project is a non-profit, put together by three parties who each wanted the same thing from different directions: Saltatempo, twenty years deep in festivals and concerts around Rome; Timmagini, who work in theatre, music and outdoor education; and a group of professional presenters after somewhere to broadcast without a format sheet. The presenters are spread the length of the country, from Udine to Palermo, while the studio they feed sits somewhere in the fields outside Rome.
La Scena takes a snapshot of Italian music several times a day, Hal 9000 digs through the archive, 500 works through the best songs ever recorded and Febbre '90 keeps the nineties in rotation. Zibaldone Nobraino hands a whole slot to the band's own playlist. Around ten hours a day are presented live, and the records run from Italian crime-film funk outward.
Made by people who go out.
