Ambient, dub edits and free improv out of Santiago.
Radio Mario María has been broadcasting from Santiago since 2022, and the whole operation is one person — @cedrodelatlas, who picks the music, pays the server bill every month, and counts the hours spent selecting as the other half of what the thing costs. A friend, @frvnkiiiii, drew the logo. Since 2026 there are visuals as well, videos made mostly in-house and partly by friends who lent them, which is roughly how everything here gets done. Listeners who want it kept running are simply asked to write in.
The station files its own genre as impreciso and means it. The rotation is drawn from yearly round-ups going back to 2023, so a short spell on air can run from Japanese ambient into an Egyptian club record and on to Bristol's jazz-leaning electronics, with dub never far away, nothing announced between tracks and no presenter talking over any of it.
Four years, one pair of ears.
