Gabber, vixa and hard trance from a Kraków collective.
Rave FM calls itself an alt-underground Polish collective and dates that back to 1994, with a pirate FM signal going out over Kraków from 1999 before the whole thing moved online. Seven residents hold it together — Yellow Manula, Blazik, Mrufka, R06, Canditi, dj.Robot and Girl.d64 — and it behaves like a crew rather than a schedule, going live from club nights and from its own recurring Audio Festival as readily as from a studio. Listeners keep it running through donations on its Ko-fi page.
Nothing is off limits so long as it is fast. TranceMisja has run to hundreds of request episodes, Wtorkowy VIBE takes Tuesdays open-format, and Making Waves once ran a two-part history of UK garage. The tags across the archive move from gabber, terror and frenchcore through industrial and Detroit techno to soulful house, jungle and vixa, the pumping Polish club sound.
Thirty years of not slowing down.
