Norway's youth channel, broadcast from Trondheim, not Oslo.
NRK reorganised its radio in 1992 under Tor Fuglevik, splitting a two-channel monopoly into something that could hold more than one audience at a time. P3 was the piece aimed at everyone under thirty, on air from 2 October 1993 and built as much around talk and comedy as around records — Radioresepsjonen and a generation of comedians came up through it before graduating to television. When national FM went dark in 2017 the channel lost nothing, having long since moved to DAB+ and the internet.
Urørt is the part that matters musically: unsigned Norwegian acts put their songs up, the channel picks them out, and the year's pick takes an Årets Urørt title and a slot at P3 Gull, the awards night P3 has run since 2013. P3 Sessions has been recording its own live concerts since 2003. The daytime hours are pop, hip hop and whatever Norway released last week.
Teenage bedroom, nationalised.
