It has been broadcasting on 88.5 since 1978, and its own account of why has not changed: the FM band was poor and the network stations were voracious, so it resisted. Its about page took the revenge of naming them, lightly disguised as SKYFLOP, FUCK RADIO and NRG. More than four decades on it runs around the clock with no advertising and no restrictions, a Férarock member with some thirty programmes on its calendar, and it will take interns on one condition — that they actually like rock and techno.

The menu, in its own words, mixes Latin fury, binary violence and synthetic melancholy: rock, punk, techno, electronic and experimental records, plus music from the far side of the Mediterranean. Techno Boulevard and Ekotek take the machines, Un Max De Rock and Indie_drome the guitars, Solenoïde and Modulisme the stranger end, and La Causerie du Maquis keeps a weekly slot for talk.
